There are lots of articles written about why a dieter, or for that matter anyone, should never go grocery shopping hungry and without a grocery shopping list. Inevitably, the shopper goes home with all sorts of things that they ultimately regret buying (Oreos, potato chips, lobster tails, imported cheese, three quarts of soft drinks and six bottles of wine) and nothing to eat for the week ahead. The same can be said for house hunting without a clear understanding of exactly what is needed in a home or what’s most important to the buyer and his/her mate. Purchasing a home is a decision that has long-term consequences and it is a huge investment, probably the largest investment most people make in their lifetime. For most people, buying a home is also a highly emotionally charged decision, too. So it only makes sense that the process is entered into fully informed, with a clear head, and with a clear plan of action.

  1. The first of the series will look at the home itself – the layout and design, number of bedrooms and baths, the materials, and finish.

  2. Part two will look at the home site – sun exposure, street lights, road frontage, lot size, landscaping.

  3. The third blog will discuss the neighborhood community including safety and security, amenities like a pool, weight room, or clubhouse, and the overall feel of the community.

  4. Expanding out from the immediate neighborhood, part four of the series will look at the importance of the home’s geographical area – its convenience to shopping, major highways, schools, hospitals and medical care, employment, and for many homebuyers in Myrtle Beach and along the Grand Strand, the beach.

  5. Finally, the fifth and last in the Trembley Group Real Estate Home Search series will examine the financial components of the home search – price, mortgage type and payment, flood insurance, HOA dues, etc.

  6. The final article in the series will include The Trembley Group Real Estate Home Search Checklist.

Over the next seven weeks, The Trembley Group Real Estate Blog and Vlog, #TheJeremyJenksShow, will do a weekly series on searching for a home in Myrtle Beach and along the Grand Strand. The first of the series will look at the home itself – the layout and design, number of bedrooms and baths, the materials, and finish. Part two will look at the home site – sun exposure, street lights, road frontage, lot size, landscaping. The third blog will discuss the neighborhood community including safety and security, amenities like a pool, weight room, or clubhouse, and the overall feel of the community. Expanding out from the immediate neighborhood, part four of the series will look at the importance of the home’s geographical area – its convenience to shopping, major highways, schools, hospitals and medical care, employment, and for many homebuyers in Myrtle Beach and along the Grand Strand, the beach. Finally, the fifth and last in the Trembley Group Real Estate Home Search series will examine the financial components of the home search – price, mortgage type and payment, flood insurance, HOA dues, etc.

The final article in the series will include The Trembley Group Real Estate Home Search Checklist. The Home Search Checklist will have a triple purpose. First, the checklist helps a family determine what’s most important in a home. It will separate the “Must Haves” from the “Nice to Haves” from the “Dream to Haves.” Second, the checklist is the first step to helping The Trembley Group Real Estate Sales Executive understand exactly what’s important to his/her client – so the Realtor doesn’t waste the client’s time looking at inappropriate properties that don’t fit the client’s needs and desires. Finally, the Home Search Checklist will help The Trembley Group client compare a property against the factors that they’ve determined are most important and to compare one home to another.

Every Sales Executive at The Trembley Group Real Estate believes the key to helping a client find the perfect home is communication. Real Estate sales is not about convincing a customer to buy something they really don’t want or need. For the Trembley Group Realtors, home sales is helping a client find the perfect home. The Home Search Checklist will be a tool that helps The Trembley Group Real Estate client determine what’s most important in a home. It will also be an important first step in helping the Sales Executive fully understand what the client considers most important. Stay tuned to The Trembley Group Real Estate Blog for this important series and the Home Search Checklist. The series will begin next Wednesday and appear every Wednesday morning for the following five weeks.
