Fireworks All Summer Long!

Every July 4th, Americans from around the country gather with family and friends to celebrate one of the nation’s oldest federal holidays. Now in our 241st year of freedom from British rule, the 4th of July has become to be synonymous with barbecuing, visiting the beach, picnicking, and of course, admiring the beautiful colors of high-flying fireworks. If you’re a visitor or a full-time resident of Myrtle Beach and like fireworks, you’re in for a treat because barbecuing, visiting the beach, picnicking, and fireworks are not limited to the Fourth of July. Here are our suggestions for the best places to view fireworks in Myrtle Beach anytime during August:

Located across from Broadway at the Beach, Pelicans Baseball is a summertime highlight enjoyed by family, friends and fans alike at TicketReturn.com Field.  After enjoying one of their games this season, stick around for the post-game fireworks. Don’t miss the fireworks after the game on Saturday, August 11 and Saturday, August 18.

Barefoot Landing is located in North Myrtle Beach and is a premier destination for shopping and dining along the Intracoastal Waterway.  Barefoot Landing hosts events and festivals throughout the year as well as fireworks during the summer. Check out their 2018 fireworks every Monday in August at 10:00.

Broadway at the Beach is famous for more than their exciting activities, great restaurants, and central location.  Broadway lights up the sky all summer long. Check out their 2018 fireworks every Tuesday and Friday at 10 PM and don’t miss a booming good time.

And finally, in the center of Myrtle Beach lies the beautiful and well-known 2nd Avenue Pier by the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk.  There is a restaurant, bar and fishing access located on the pier. They light up the sky every Wednesday night at 10 PM throughout the summer.

By definition, a culinary tourist is a traveler who discovers the authentic taste of a particular destination, place, or region and creates good memories associated with the local food and drink. Culinary tourists are interested in eating, sampling wine and beer, cooking, baking and learning about the history of certain foods in a particular region. The goal of culinary tourism is to educate and inspire food and wine enthusiasts while giving the tourist a chance to explore the local area and learn about local food trends, cooking techniques, and food history.

Whether they’ve lived here six months, six years, or an entire lifetime, with more than 1700 mouth-watering options and new ones opening every day and with even a slightly adventurous palate, it’s possible to always remain a culinary tourist along the Grand Strand.

Along the Grand Strand, it’s easy to find cuisines ranging from low country cooking and a wealth of caught-fresh-daily seafood to traditional Italian, Greek, Mexican, and American fare. The only difficult part of being a Grand Strand culinary tourist is deciding what to try first. Myrtle Beach Eatz will have lots of suggestions.

Diners in the Myrtle Beach area are in for a treat when it comes to culinary selections. The Grand Strand features cuisine that is pleasing to every palate. Historically, the area is renowned for its fresh local seafood, which is nowhere more abundant than in Murrells Inlet, the seafood capital of South Carolina.

Toward the northern end of the Grand Strand, North Carolina-style Calabash is the cuisine of choice, with its traditional lightly-breaded, fried seafood meals. There are hundreds of different options to choose from at any number of Calabash buffets.

On the southern end of the Grand Strand, diners will come into the heart of the Lowcountry, where chefs utilize local ingredients like stone-ground grits, shrimp, blue crab, grouper, country ham, and fresh produce.

The South Carolina Lowcountry was settled by rice planters and one of the staples in many Lowcountry dishes is the Carolina Gold Rice.  Carolina Gold Rice differs from other varieties of long-grain rice, as it has delicate texture, lack of aroma and superior cooking qualities.

Fresh to your table, Lowcountry food is an infusion of the cultural influences of the many people that settled on the land in the past. The flavor in these foods includes influences from France, West Africa, and the Caribbean. Whether you’re dining alone, as a couple or with a large group, the Grand Strand has cuisine that’s sure to please everyone!

This operating vineyard is a former tobacco plantation that has been owned by the Bellamy family since the 1800s and is open to the public. La Belle Amie means “the good friend”. Guests to the vineyard are invited to sample La Belle Amie’s private label wines and a variety of gourmet foods or to browse through the gift shop featuring a wide array of wine accessories and unique gifts. The vineyard welcomes picnics. The vineyard is host to a variety of special musical events as well as a series of outdoor music and wine-tasting. The vineyard is open every day except Sunday and Monday from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM.

Admission to these special events is $8. A $2 discount is available with a donation of 2 canned/dry good food items for the area food bank. All special events are on Saturday from noon to 5 PM.

Ongoing music starts every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 12:30 and musicians play until 4:30.

Every Wednesday, weather permitting, visitors enjoy an afternoon of live music & fun. Admission is free, and wine tastings are half price!

Concert on the Green: A1A – The Official and Original Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show

What the biggest event of August? We’re moving! After two years in our current location, The Trembley Group Real Estate has decided to move its offices to the center of the Myrtle Beach and Grand Strand real estate universe, Market Commons. The new office is at the hub of it all. A short drive to anywhere on the Grand Strand.

Our new building in Market Common will be a place for The Trembley Group to continue to grow, bring in new agents, and continue to crush the real estate world. There is a large space for agent training and a media center. It is a state-of-the-art real estate mecca.

And speaking of entertainment, on Thursday, August 16 from 7:00 until 10:00, the group A1A will wrap up the 2018 Market Common Third Thursday Concert on the Green summer series with a great night of live music in Valor Park. A1A will conclude the Concert on The Green series. You can expect to hear all of your Jimmy Buffett favorites when attending an A1A performance. But you can also expect to hear some classic Reggae as well as some original A1A Trop Rock music.

A1A – The Official and Original Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show was born in 1991 when Lead Vocalist and Guitarist, Jeff Pike asked Atlanta Parrot Head Club Founder, Scott Nickerson to join him in his already successful one-man tribute to Jimmy Buffett.  In 1992, the band won a Jimmy Buffett Sound Alike Contest from Margaritaville Records and the A1A ball started rolling. Twenty-five years later, that ball that is still rolling.
