When’s the best time to live in Myrtle Beach and along the Grand Strand? The Trembley Group Real Estate Sales Executives think anytime is the best time to live on the northernmost third of the South Carolina Coast. If you asked visitors, everyone has a favorite season but most visitors to the Grand Strand visit from June to August when the weather is perfect for enjoying the beach. July temperatures on the Grand Strand average lows in the 70s and highs in the low 90s. And ocean water temperature is a near-bathwater 83. Perfect beach weather.

Residents of the Myrtle Beach area prepare for and get used to the occasional July afternoon thundershower and some even like how it cools things down a bit.

And night… Don’t forget the beach at night. July is the perfect time for an afterhours stroll. It’s the ideal place to beat the summer heat. After the sun goes down, there are lots of great spots on the beach to watch the moon rise, listen to the waves, maybe see a nesting sea turtle, and feel the sand between your toes. There’s no better way to enjoy Myrtle Beach’s main attraction and stay cool at the same time.

And speaking of July, let’s not forget the fourth day of the month. “The day will be the most memorable in the history of America,” wrote John Adams in 1776. People will honor it with parades, fireworks and celebrations, he added.

Adams was actually talking about July 2nd, the day the Continental Congress voted in support of independence from the British. But the date written on the Declaration of Independence is July 4. So, since 1776, Americans have celebrated July 4 as the country’s Independence Day.

Most Americans celebrate Independence Day with barbeques, parades, and, yes, fireworks. But a few celebrate by eating all the cupcakes they can.
